My mother was lucky to have been able to come to the United States in 1937. She lost her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents -everyone except the relatives that brought her to America. She had most recently lived in Seduva, Lithuania. We just found the autograph books (as well as other items from that time) that her classmates signed before she left for America. It was so special to go through them with her - she remembered so much about all of them. Of that whole class, we have only found 3 others who survived; only 1 was Jewish and she also came to America before 1940. So very sad. If you know anyone who lived in Seduva from 1935-1937, I would like to hear from you!
