My name is Lilly, and I am a 6 years old, spayed female Jug. Whats that you ask? Well, thats a Pug crossed with a Jack Russell. Considering its too cute breeds combined, I must be adorable, right?! I have the coloring of a pug (fawn), those famous velvety pug ears, and a curly tail. I have the nose of a Jack Russell, so Im longer in the nose than my pug pals (that means less snoring and snorting!) Im a really nice, gentle girl who is hoping to find a forever home. Everyone seems to really like me, the humans & the other 5 dogs Ive been staying with. I adjusted pretty quickly to my new pack (there was just a small adjustment period), and now I love to cuddle up with the others. I love to play with toys - plush, squeaky, balls, whatever you give me! Im going to talk about this a bit more later. I am good with kids. So far, I have only been around those 12+ though. I also havent been around cats yet, so not sure on that either. I am crate trained. I even sleep in my crate (with the door open), although I would be happy to snuggle up in bed with you if you wanted! Heres a little bit about my routine… I get up when you get up - right now in my foster home, thats been about 6:30am during the week, and 8ish on the weekend. I get fed 2x a day, morning & evening, and I go to sleep whenever you do. As far as my walks go, I have been going out in the morning for a walk & then in the late afternoon. The rest of the time my foster mom is home & I have access to the backyard to use when I need it. I go out on my own. I get the regular Curly Tail diet - no special food, no medications, just the normal stuff. Im pretty good about my groomings too. I dont love the nail trimming, but Ill tolerate it. It just makes me a little anxious is all. I think I would be happy anywhere that I can find a loving home, be it the city, the suburbs or the country. For me, its just about finding my forever home! I love to cuddle. Ok, I guess now is the time to talk about my one little issue. Its really nothing big, but Im hoping you are already in love with me & wont mind my one thing (we all have something, right?!) Here it goes - Im a little protective of my toys. I dont like other dogs to try and take my toy from me & I might snip if they try. To be fair though, I dont try and take any toys away from the other dogs. I also get a bit protective if I am getting some cuddle time, and someone tries to get in on it. My foster mom has been working on this with me, and I am already improving, so I know that with your help, i can beat this! What the pug people are saying.. Lilly is a darling little girl. She is so much a puggly cutie with a Jack Russel face and knack at destroying toys. She will need a pretty constant supply of new toys, but will pay her family back in folds with her love and affection.
