My name is Michael. I was an abandoned baby. I was found in an elevator at a parking garage across from Duke Hospital in NC on 4/5/81 and I was born within 24 hours of being found. The reports state I was in a laundry basket wrapped in towels with no information on who I was or belonged to. My umbilical cord was cut incorrectly and was infected but I was overall found in fair condition. My search for biological family has led me nowhere considering Durham County Social Svc has nothing to share with me or my adoptive parents. I have a DNA GEDmatch profile as well as an ancestry account however I have not had much success. The reports I received from Durham County are posted on my Facebook.
