My name is Oliber Decan. I’ m 50 years old, I have 6 children and I live in the community of La Source, where a tree nursery was started this year. The lack of financial resources to purchase good seeds quality made me unable to properly farm my piece of land. Because of the new argo-forestry program in the area, the situation this year was better for me and for my neighbors. With the distribution of black bean seeds organized by Trees for the Future/OLQP I have access to quality bean seeds. I have received technical assistance for my farm, which allowed me to have a good harvest this year, and I do not have a problem for paying tuition for my children as a result.
