My names brittany and im officially 9 months clean of heroin & any other opiates as of this month. Over the past 2 years I have lost everything that mattered to me, and in the last 9 months all I can do is try everyday to get back to good, or back to normal. Ive been daying this guy for a year now, & we started getting high together, then he helped me get clean by supplying me with suboxone. When I got clean I knew I never wanted to do heroin again...I never wanted to snort another pill again either. He however has been trying but not so successful with getting clean. When I took suboxone I literally took 1/4 the 8mg dosage at a time, just to make it through the withdrawals but not enough to not feel any discomfort at all. He seems to want to take the whole 8mg which keeps him high too, then he goes off and does pills recreationally. His excuse is he is trying and that he actually has back pain etc. I think these are all just lies, usually an addict is in denial about gettong better just because they have been doing LESS. I finally told him to kick rocks today because I just cant find it in me to be with an addict. He asks me how can I turn my back on him when he needs me most? Am I wrong for walking away? Should I help him since he helped me?
