My neighbor, an older lady, is dying in the apartment next door. Theres all kinds of hospice people, and people I assume are her family, hanging out there all day and night. Ive been in on scenes like that too often in the last couple of years but usually in hospitals. Having it going on right next door gives me a stark reminder of our mortality every time I leave, come home, check the mail, etc. My heart goes out to her; only met her once but she seems like a nice lady. Its an unsettling scene though, man.
