My no make up selfie for Breast Cancer awareness!! Today I read a lot of negative comments about this support so let me tell ya mine. I hate taking pictures so I dont need nor want your comments. Im doing this in honor of my dad who fought an up hill battle with cancer. The cancer wasnt the worse part though. My dad was cut from the front of his chest to the pit of his back. He looked as if he had been bitten by a shark. I knew I was going to lose my dad but what hurt me the most was to see my daddy cry because his little girl had to change his bed sheets or help him get dressed. For my pop n law ( Jim Simpson) who struggled everyday even till he took his last breathe. For my cousin (curtis) who never gave up hope for a cure and prayed everyday until The Lord finally took him home. For my cousin ( teresa) who lost her life at a young age she was in her early 20s and left behind her beautiful daughter. For a life long friend ( Joyce ) who is a survivor of breast cancer she is healing from a double mastectomy and who continues to fight every day!! Now, to some degree some women may need validation they are pretty without make up but you would hope that would not be the case. These women are doing for their family, friends even strangers to let them know that Someone cares and they will never give up until they find a cure for this horrible disease. So frankly for someone to have a negative comment for something so dear to others is unbelievable!! Kinda makes you wonder what kind of person you must be that think someone is showing support for a selfish reason. We know taking off make up wont find a cure, we know walking miles wont bring back our loved ones. But we did it to show there are people who care and understand and that no one is alone in this fight. This is my personal opinion it doesnt matter how much Mary Kay or Cover girl you slap on your face if youre ugly inside youre ugly outside and these women showing support are beautiful make up or not!! Love and support to all who have been there and to the ones still going through it.
