My oldest brother passed an hour ago. Petes dream was to own a model A. He saved for years to buy one. It was his pride and joy. He lovingly restored it and took it to a weekly car show throughout each summer. There was never an animal that Pete wouldnt feed... From raccoons to a stray dog he named Lucky. His latest addition is a big old Tom cat he named Freddie. Pete was a reliable chauffeur, yard man and companion to our 90 year old mother for the last 25 years. (His fight with cancer diminished those roles this last year and a half.) The one thing I wished Pete had left me was his sense of humor...every doctors visit he would ignite several chuckles with his quite wit and sharp intellect. He loved history and believed in extraterrestrial beings. We are comforted that Pete passed peacefully . We are truly grateful for the merciful care he received at Providence hospital from all of his nurses and Dr. Adam Blomberg.
