My one and only true matrimonial love in life and I could not stop watching this comedian, Tim Hawkins, while we raised our daughter as a true Christian from 6 to 15. We could all laugh and relate - despite our age and cultural differences - and every Friday and Saturday night - we were together always for almost 10 years. We would have eagerly sought of course a chosen new movie or video (chick flicks dominated of course, but I got in my adventure flicks too) thinking that would be great or better - but would often afterwards have more joy replaying the repeat performances following of Tim Hawkins or seek out new and updated ones because of his irascible gift. What mattered most was not the new or Hollywood publicized must see films, but Tims great and human-centered old jokes and our new laughter and hilarious togetherness each time with our stomach aching rolling around in and sometime literally falling off the bed(!) experiences and our own corresponding related humor and family love. We could laugh freely and often joked that we were crazy, but what we were in those rich moments was a true family in authentic love - motivated not by the new - but by a Christian comedian who brought out our rich connection to our old, ever-present, growing and ever-changing family love and humanity.
