My one wish...... I wish that Filipinos would stop with all these Victorian nonsense associated with santo images. Stop it with the ANTHROPOMORPHISM (which means the giving of physical or human characteristics to ideas, thoughts or inanimate objects). Yes, the traditions are charming -- often beautiful -- but irritating nonetheless. Stop treating these objects like people. They have no feelings; no emotions. Honestly, they could not care less! Consequently, they would not be offended if they are seen undressed (or even in the process of dressing) and/or described as being bagag or any type of adjective which a human may deem derogatory. This mentality merely impedes the true and descriptive analysis of these works of art.
