My online review for Chihuahua Tire Shop (Elgin Location)… LOL… NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STAR I AM FORCED TO GIVE THEM. I shoulda known better. Last year I had them repair a bent rim for me. They charged me $130 to do it. After they did it it was still bent but not as bad as before. But then they added an additional charge to balance the tire. I had no choice, so to be safe, I had them balance all tires. After I left my steering wheel would shake like crazy once I got on the expressway. So I went back & had them rebalance the tires again. This time the balancing was done properly. Well,,,, this year I purchased a different BRAND NEW vehicle & put some BRAND NEW rims on it that I ordered online. My front tires needed to be balanced, so I decided to go to them. The only reason I went back is cause the owner seemed like a pretty nice guy & decided to give them another chance. Terrible mistake. So anyway, they balanced my front tires, I left & got on the expressway & still had a shaky steering wheel. I got home and noticed the idiot mechanic never put my center caps back on. I went back & got my caps put on and explained that the balancing was done improperly to the owner. They claimed that something else might be wrong with my BRAND NEW vehicle. As we were next to my car talking I noticed the paint around my center cap of my BRAND NEW rim was badly chipped. I pointed it out to the owner & he claimed that there was something wrong with the paint of my BRAND NEW rims and that they would not have chipped the paint like that because they do this kind of work all the time. I was getting nowhere trying to argue with the guy and just realized what a terrible mistake I made by using them & decided that I never want them touching another one of my vehicles ever again. And to think I was just about to purchase a set of rims from them for my wifes BRAND NEW car, lol... No thanks, not spending another dime of money or wasting another minute of time with them ever again.
