My personal ALS #IceChallenge response: I was more than willing - TopicsExpress

My personal ALS #IceChallenge response: I was more than willing to accept this challenge from my friend Amy Roberts. The reason? Because it DOES make a difference, and it has been. Every day, when I tell a story, I need to show something shocking or use poppy words to get viewers attention. Once theyre engaged, I can share a message with them.. whether it be a warning about danger, a heads up about something in your kids school or a family/organization in need that you can help. This ice bucket challenge does the same thing and the message is that research to cure or at least treat ALS is in need of funding. You grab peoples attention with your reaction to the water, and you get researchers trying to cure this disease help. At the end of the day, youre trying to prevent a child from losing a parent, losing their life or losing the opportunity to have the same long quality of life that we have been blessed with.
