My personal mayhem... Simply thinking about this makes the hairs on my toe knuckles stand on end. When out in eastern Oregon, we enjoy tent camping- simple and easy, and we can leave it there to hightail it out at a moment’s notice to track horses, or chase a thunderstorm in the little 4x4. So camping- just need the sleeping amenity and a few pots and pans. Thats all. Now, Im pretty down to... earth and not much shakes me... okay, so the giant Junebug beetles that seem to have twin engine propeller engines ... and always have me on their radar around the campfire, have been known to make me duck & cover- and perhaps not mildly... OTHERWISE, I just about chew & spit desert lava rock LOL. And for the record I am one those unaffected by nails scratching on a chalkboard, much to my friends dismay, back in the day. BUT when cooking over the campfire, one scrape of a metal utensil on the bottom of a tin pot or pan, will find me with a sagebrush twig between my teeth, stifling an air-piercing screech, and likely followed by what appears to be a streak of lightning for hills! Otherwise, campings a piece of cake.
