Hello everyone... In case you dont get our updates, Here is a copy of what we just sent to folks who keep in touch with our ministry... Hello everybody! Well, Holly and I are finally back to our “normal” life in Spokane. After being officially appointed with WorldVenture, we were quite pumped emotionally, and physically exhausted, ready to fly home and sleep. But God had other plans… Our flight got cancelled and we spent all night and the next day in the Denver airport! We had a cozy spot on the floor near Gate B33. We had internet, and books to read so it was fine. Thankfully some great friends went and got our kids the next morning, who were wondering why mom and dad weren’t in their beds in the morning. I composed the last email you received during our “stay” at the airport, and promised to get you more information, so here goes… We are now a missionary family serving with WorldVenture, based in Littleton Colorado. We are assigned to West Kalimantan, Indonesia.We will still be serving the Dayak people, though it is hundreds of miles from where we served in Tarakan with MAF. Our role will be in Church Development.Working with pastors, evangelists, and church lay leaders, to equip and mobilize them to reach the unreached people groups of Kalimantan with the Good News of Jesus. We will be serving in a place where they have been praying for workers for around 10 years!How cool is that to know that we can be God’s answer to prayers? It is our desire to go back to Indonesia as soon as possible.As I told a friend, our bags are packed, and we are not even buying 2-liter bottles of soda anymore.WE ARE READY!Our goal is to be in Indonesia for the start of the school year for the kids (September). Before we can go back, we are required to bring our monthly ministry support up to 100%, and raise some one-time outgoing costs.So, we either need to see current partners increase their giving, or find additional partners, or both. If all of our long-time ministry supporters are willing to follow us to WorldVenture (which we hope) our support will be at almost 90% of their requirement. If every person on our team increased their giving by only 10%, we would be practically done!Please consider doing this if you can.We don’t mind it becoming an un-even number (for example, $44 instead of $40, or $82.50 instead of $75.)
