My political two cents: Hope for my precious land is diminishing as we are on the verge another political rift. President Hassan Sheik Mohamoud is asking parliament to oust prime minister Abdiwali Sheik Ahmed because of disagreements and reshuffling of cabinet members without the president’s consent. This is the 2nd time in less than two years that the president dismissed his prime minister because of similar disagreements. Power sharing is necessary in Mogadishu to ensure that there are checks and balances in place, and to make sure that Somali does not back to the one family takes all system that we all fought so hard to get rid of. Mr. President and Prime Minister Ahmed should work out their differences for the sake all the Somali people that are depending on them. This is not the time to fight. We need to unite and rebuild our nation, and give hope and light to our people who have been suffering for a long time.
