My poor Peanut bunny has me in tears. Niffers carrier that we brought home from the vet, that she passed away in, that I cant bring myself to put away or launder the towel she spent her last days on, sits beside the piano in our living room. Once in a while Peanut will go inside and sniff around, even sometimes plop in. I see him do it more on the days he seems more lonely or sad. However what brought me to tears today is the fact that he has seemed depressed for a while, and when he went inside it today, he was butting at the towel with his nose, rubbing his face on it, and licking at something in the corner. Its as if he trying to find her to cuddle with, lick, etc. Seeing him miss her just makes me miss her more. Plus its sad to see him still looking for her. Hes lonely, was never by himself until she died and even though I want to get another companion for him everyone else is against it, not because they dont want me to replace Niffers which I could never do, but because they dont want another bunny. I miss her terribly and seeing Peanut behave that way today just makes me cry.
