S.O.U.L CLINIC OF KENTUCKIANA INC. QUARTERLY BOARD MEETING JULY 24, 2014 to October 9, 2014 Roll Call: Dustin Milam – Director Paul Williams – Treasurer Allen Eldridge – General Member Molly Brewer – Education Director Carol Kelley – Case Manager Erma Felix – Prevention Specialist Jacob Boudreaux – Associate Pastor Tami Brucato – Support Staff Tracy Burton – Member Ky Tina Tina Jeffries– Web Manager Gin Ichimaru Rommel Banasijan – International Office Manager Director’s Report: It has been a productive quarter. As of today we have 25 active cases around the Kentuckiana region. We have opened a new office on site at Brown Mackie College and I have started interviewing and hiring independent contract paid employees to help get business going. When I put the employment opportunity up a few weeks ago, I immediately got 7 interested people to apply. I have several interviews scheduled for next week and I have already hired one who is present today, Mrs. Carol Kelley, who has done an exceptionally wonderful job. She has been through some hard tests over the past few weeks and has managed to soar right through them I am very confident she will make a great asset to this company. I have managed to expand our company internationally to the Philippines where Rommel Banasijan is our new office manager there. His current assignment is gathering statistics for us so we know what kind of community we are dealing with and what help is needed. He has done a great job so far. In this quarter we were able to furnish three consumers homes with furniture and household items to make a productive and mentally conducive home for each of them. We have helped 3 consumers find active employment and we are advocating for others to find stable employment. We have furnished bikes to two of our consumers for transportation. We have helped three consumers in obtaining SNAP benefits and healthcare insurance. We have built a relationship with several other networking agencies who have made material donations to advance our mission, all of these networks can bee seen on our home page of our website at ulcscki.org We have also connected with Perfect Digital Marketing for advertising, a rough draft of the ad has been placed for viewing on our home page also. It warms my heart for this next comment to say that as of tomorrow we have been in operation for 6 years as a formal organization. We were officially recognized as a non-profit in November 2011. And have grown to be the success we are today. I am please and honored to be the Director/Founder of this organization and hope that we continue to have many more prosperous years ahead. Keep in mind that January 2015 is election month and my seat will once again go up for re-election as will everyone else. Please be sure to cast your votes or tender your resignations. I really hope each of you will stay but I know and understand there are times we must move on to other adventures. A special thanks goes out to the following organizations and individuals for their material support: Amazon for donating 20 nylon bags for our consumers KET for donating 40 nylon bags for our consumers Bookends & More LLC. For over 1000 books for our consumers Louisville Magazine for donating a cookbook for our life skills classes E & D Once New Thrift store for donating items to furnish consumers homes Carl Thomas for donating a massive amount of clothing to our clothing closet. This concludes my report. Treasurer’s Report: We have been expanding this quarter and have received great moral and material support but the financial support has not been so great. During the outreach fundraiser in September we were only able to raise $25.00. We have another fundraiser scheduled for November 8, 2014 and hope this will bring in the money needed to pay off the current bills. Currently the outstanding balances are as follows: E&D Once New Thrift Store: $300.00 (furnishing consumers homes) Molly Brewer ($30.00 gas expense for transporting bicycles to consumers) Tracy Burton ($60.00 gas expenses for two business related transports) Perfect Digital Marketing ($150.00 monthly for the next six months. However agent is looking to find corporate sponsors to help with this funding.) Carl Thomas ($375.00 financial loan repayment for deposit on consumer home) Mount Vernon Insurance ($147 quarterly insurance for remainder of the year) Here’s hoping this fundraiser in November will help clear up some of these bills. This concludes my report. General Member’s Report: No report at this time Old Business: No old business to cover New Business: Dustin Milam: As the Treasurer gave report we are hoping to raise a great deal of funds to cover our debts before the end of the year. We are also in need of transportation specifically for the clinic to eliminate the burden of recruiting people and paying for gas to conduct clinic business. Anyone who knows of a van or truck that could be donated please let myself or another member of this board know as soon as possible. Open Floor:
