My preauricular ear pit (rare genetic defect of the ear) got infected and painfully swollen on Thursday getting worse till I went into a&e today hoping for antibiotics. Nearly got admitted but then The nice ENT doctor stuck a needle deep in the side of my face in three places and drained it! She even said I must have a very high pain threshold or Im very brave as most people would be in agony but I didnt even make a sound! Just as she finished the local anesthetic arrived (which I had said not to bother waiting for.... Its all needles anyway.) haha high pain threshold indeed. Silly plaster!
