My purse was stolen on Sunday night (filled with many valuables and lots of cash). I kept my calm and never got upset but was really sad someone would be so dishonest, thinking of all the good causes this money could have gone to--but instead will probably go to someone buying a new iphone or something frivolous. Last night I focused on my breathing which cleared my mind of all thoughts. What I came to realize that this very small event is really unimportant in the grand scheme of life. I have so many things to be thankful for including my own honesty and self worth that would never allow me to take what is not mine. My heart goes out to that person who took it-- that their mind is troubled and their heart is lacking integrity. I hope that one day they choose a different path. The most important lesson: The things that are truly important in my life, no one will ever be able to steal from me...
