My rant for the day... joined a different gym in Pittsburgh. I was expecting things to be slightly behind the times ( sorry Pgh, its been proven to me over and over) however, when retro cycle -moves are not only ineffective but injury prone, i have to have words with the instructor. He replies Well, i know whats safe but they make us teach those things because no one will come if i change things. BS!!! Continuously educate yourself and your patrons. YOU RE the instructor. ..teach it right, teach it safe. If they fire over being safe , we have a whole other issue. THEN THE BOMB... supposedly a LARGE health insurance company, trying to act like a healthcare system, backs the gym and they are the ones certifying and telling the instructors what to teach.
