My real.. Students asking why something isnt graded, my boys walk - TopicsExpress

My real.. Students asking why something isnt graded, my boys walk in the door and explode their backpacks all over the living room. Now with the cold spell they throw out their jackets inside out into the floor. Joyfully they play together for some positive sibling outside. I am busy grading papers when one runs up and whispers come down when you can because we have something really cool to show you, just in case I am on the phone with a student. So I finish the paper I am reading and enjoy momentarily the beauty of their find. A leaf bug. Leaving them I continue with grading until I hear a shriek of a child that has just been shoved to the ground. Sibling bliss over. Dealing with the crisis, I now find myself looking around at the messes of papers of homework spread throughout the living room and request clean up. Turning the corner I step into the kitchen and right into a sticky spot! Yep, who knows what it is but its sticky. I dont bother to pick it up as my hands are full of laundry. We all know the cold spell hit and they must have warm clothes for tomorrow. Making dinner is a joy with the boys and my dear wonderful husband makes me am omelet since I am not eating the pizza the kids just enjoyed making and he is headed out the door for bible study. I needed a moment of care given to me- thanks dear. Now we would think its all coming to an end but really its just getting started. There are clothes ready to fold, a load in the washer and another waiting to go in, but mommy cant do that right now. One son needs some undivided attention and he will get it. 2 hours, so now its 10:15 and my second load is not quite done and I have discovered several hidden messes after bedtime, but stories were read, kisses were given, all were tucked in bed and now to conquer Mount Laundry or at least get clean warm clothes for tomorrow. Oh and the sticky spot will have to wait.
