My reason for believing God does NOT exist are many.1. Where was God when a priest was raping me and I was crying out to God to make him stop but God did NOT answer this prayer? I was taught growing up in the Roman Catholic Church that if a child is in trouble and is praying to God for help....God will send all his angels down to protect and defend us from harm. Yet tens of thousands just like me...were raped and harmed by priests...almost all of them did the same as I did, cried to God to make their rapist priest stop doing to them what they were doing to them and NOT ONCE DID GOD ANSWER THESE CRIES FROM CHILDREN BEING RAPED BY PRIESTS!!!! 2. God will apparently answer prayers to find lost dogs, help you buy a better car, give you a better job, or even heal you from a disease, but when it comes time to stoping rapist priests, or all the other atrocities committed by the Leaders and Priests of the Catholic Church starting with the Crusades and all the way to modern times......or people praying to him to stop this evil...he would rather help you find your lost dog or buy a better car. 3. God has no problem making his ministers, preachers, pastors, priests and other leaders of his church fat and sassy. He has no problem providing them with food, clothing, cars, etc. Yet when you walk out of the Vatican even to this day, right around the corner...or any corner of any Roman Catholic Church you will see hundreds upon hundreds of starving children, homeless people etc. So I guess God has no problem making his priests all fat and sassy...but the ones whom put the money in the collection plates can then go sit around the corner and beg for food.
