My response to an inbox from a younger but true Rebel fan, upset with a particular comment of mine from last night. Ill address the whole issue, as I see it. State fans, I humbly hope you all enjoy your win, and in anyway you wish. Its our in-state rivalry, and everything about it is supposed to be outrageous and over the top. Otherwise, Its just another game. How boring is that? Some cast shame on others for their emotion filled post AND pregame comments, on both sides. I say, shame on you! Again, Its our in-state rivalry, Its supposed to be that way! Im glad Im not arrogant enough to EVER tell anybody how there supposed to believe, feel, act or what to say, about football or any part of life. State fans, enjoy your win anyway you wish. Wanna talk trash?..talk it loud! Wanna gloat?...do it with passion! See me on the street and wanna rub it in?...let me have it! That win earned you an entire year of that! My sisters not gonna let me forget last night, thats for sure. LOL Again, Its our in-state rivalry, Its supposed to be that way! To my Rebel brethren, you may also react in whatever manner you wish, and with my approval, not that you needed it anyway. Now, to the arrogant, condescending and much younger Rebel fan whom inboxed me, saying Im not a true Rebel fan. Young lady, here are my Rebel fan qualifications. Ive been screaming for Ole Miss since I was a child, and that was a long time ago. Back during the reign of Johhny Vaught. Since the days of Stan Torgersons voice calling a scrambling Archie Manning and touchdowns. Back when that Egg Bowl trophy mostly gathered dust from never leaving Oxford. Ill also be sick to my stomach for the whole year waiting to bring that trophy back to Oxford. So, on my personal page, Ill say whatever I wish about the Egg Bowl. You got a problem?...use your personal page and say anything you wish about me and my you should be ashamed failings for not recognizing our whole season. Trust me, Im more than thrilled to have seven wins and another bowl year, and Im certainly not ignorant of the entire teams effort all year. Im also completely devastated we lost the Egg Bowl, and will not be happy until we win it again. You may just be too young to understand that. HOTTY TODDY! :-)
