Some may know Ive taken on a position at Provo Community Church to assist in the renovation, restoration and rebuilding of the church acting as a liaison between the church, developer and architect where Im organist and music director as well. As we look to improve this place of worship and make it more of a community gathering place for concerts and recitals and like events we are looking at installing, among other improvements, a pipe organ worthy of being a concert venue. Yesterday I had a very unique opportunity, along with my friend Bret Pope, to tour the ins and outs of three of the organs at Temple Square in SLC, the Tabernacle, Conference Center and Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was also a surprise and an honor to be able to sit at the famous Tabernacle Organ and play one of my favorite hymns Our Saviors Love. It was very surreal. What a wonderful, unexpected experience that I shall never forget.
