My sadness is profound this afternoon. The passing of Niel Armstrong has hit hard. He was and is our 20th century hero. I was fortunate to be alive and at the age to appreciate his steps on the moon. I remember clearly his words spoken as he put his foot down on the moon. We were all fixated on our little black and white screen. There were many of us who wished we were there with him. I, for one, would gladly have taken the risk. To this day I have that pioneer desire. A wonderful man a great pioneer, and not of our world anymore. May you walk the planets now as I am sure you have always wanted to do. Fare thee well Mr. Armstrong.
