My sister was owed $7,000.00 (from centrelink) last financial year, she held onto it for ages thinking it was a mistake when they paid it, and eventually used it to replace furniture, pay bills etc,,, now,, this financial year, they tell her she owes them over 4,000.00 from last financial year.........they are seriously messed up over there,,,,, if they screw up, we shouldnt be responsible,, especially if the same financial year they pay you extra,,, just stupid,,, so easy for them to push buttons and demand the money back, but how are you supposed to pay that money back ,, it can take years of going with less money every fortnight.... the whole system needs to be scrapped and started from the ground up,,,, and really........get some staff training so they are all working with the same basic info, not one person telling you one thing, and someone telling you the opposite the next day..........
