My son Kenneth is finishing up his CBRN training with the Bravo Company 84th Chemical Battalion in Fort Leonard Wood Missouri. Today they prep for, and tomorrow they are exposed to the chemical nerve agent VX (basically what was used in Syria). He will be in full mop gear and will be using his training to avoid contamination and practice decontamination techniques. I am so proud of these men and women who train to be the front liners in any chemical attack...who are willing to put their lives on the line for others. But as a mom, I am trying to hold it together and not be nervous. Can you say a prayer for my son? Oh....and say one for me...I will need a valium tomorrow.
