My son is only 11 and Ive been talking to him for years about when he gets big and strong, how he needs to use his power for good, to protect those who are smaller and weaker than he is, and to never, ever hurt someone just because he can. I talk to him about respecting another persons body, and how his own body should be respected, too. Yes, hes only 11 but respect and boundaries are too important. I cant wait until hes in his late teens and then hope hes still listening when I decide to talk. Its not a painful, hour long conversation when I talk about these things with him. Its more alike a few sentences here and there, making sure he knows, in no uncertain terms, what is ok and what is NEVER ok. In relation to this video, its my job to be sure my son is part of the circle.
