The lyrics are at the end of this mail. I wrote the lyrics just a while ago and also recorded the vocals, remixed and mastered the song etc. I’m sorry it took a while. I don’t know if this song will help your difficult situation there in Gambia but this is just a little bit of something I could do to contribute. If at least someone likes this effort then that’s enough for me. I have given up hope for any kind of international success by my music long time ago and any kind of fame is not the reason I’m doing this and I’m still composing and pouring my heart out with my guitar and singing. I’m not the best musician in the world – far from it – but I do it purely from the heart and I love everything about doing music and expressing myself. At those moments, when I pick up my guitar or sing some vocals, I don’t feel desire for anything else. This song is not a “usual” song. It’s different. Frankly I hate all the crappy commercial programs like X-Factor and all where all these golden throats are just singing songs made by other musicians and basically raping them. And doing songs in a “traditional” and expected way like majority of musicians do – that’s something I wanna avoid. I don’t actually “try” that but merely it comes naturally. I want to do everything the new way. Is it the best way? Hell, I don’t know. But it’s the way of my heart and at least I’m not copying others and following some crappy “trends” that only kill creativity and uniqueness. So I hope You enjoy this song and lyrics.
