My state, Karnataka is an amazing state. Visit us, enjoy our hospitality, and return to your homes with a happy heart and full stomach. You may also feel tempted to settle in Karnataka. We would be very happy! But if you do settle there, PLEASE PLEASE ... PRETTY PLEASE, LEARN KANNADA. Ask your Kannadiga colleague at work, or your neighbour down the road. Theyll help you out. Kindly dont kill our culture and language by bringing your language in and using it like you would do it in your home state. We do love diversity, but we also love our culture and language. We are all Indians, yes, but culturally, we are Kannadigas, and we would like our culture to live a long, long life, just like you would love yours to live a long life. So, yes, lets live harmoniously, and kindly do not exploit our docility. PS : The auto drivers will treat you better (and not rip you off) if you speak in Kannada. Give it a try.
