My stay in Maiduguri 4 a week made to me understood why opposition of d present govt in Borno state kept barking day & night, buying a space in dailys to express their bitter views on situation on ground. I hpnd to be a realist in d course study at postgraguate level dt made me to look at issues only based on hypothetical perception, wt reference to my state d ongoing capital projects are substandard in nature wch result form incompetent hands dt handled d job instead of real contractors wt outstanding lebel name eg Julius Berger, Dantata & Sawoe, Alh. Mai Deribe & Sons & so on. The projects mostly r halfway completed or abandoned as a result of absence check & balances. Assumption of my ppl is as a tradition executed & completed projects normally r commissioned on 29 May wch is Democracy day while dt of Borno nothing to commission. Absence of schools also is another complicated issue at stake, d state & d FG cant provide security of life & property even to d schools children & no alternative means to curb d situation. Poor Borno has a long way to go...
