My thought for the day ;) I just cant help myself---here it comes---wait for it ...OKAY, LOVE in the mind of Aaron Stephens (is a verb) it means: to actively seek and hope for ones GREATEST POSSIBLE good...To me, that would ultimately mean one would come into an eternal relationship with Christ, and when the end as we know it has become the beginning of what we do not know of, then we end up in the Kingdom of the Most High...Jesus said the commandments can be summed up (and I take the liberty to paraphrase, since the meme did) by loving (remember, its a verb) God with all your heart, mind, and soul. That would mean seeking and hoping for Gods greatest possible good, by my definition of the word love---which to me means trying to GET people into an eternal relationship with Christ, and seated eternally in the Heavenlies...If I love my neighbor as I love myself, I am seeking and hoping for THEIR GREATEST POSSIBLE good, as ardently as I seek my own eternal relationship with Christ, and residence eternally in the Heavenlies...Thus I can walk holy and without blame in love before Him, even in the flesh. Now, with that said, I move on to the concept of eternal separation from Christ and His Kingdom. When those who have not accepted Christs Sacrifice on their behalf (His death, and resurrection from the dead was for the atonement/redemption of His people---who accept Him, hear Him, and follow Him), and have in His eyes WASTED an entire lifetime in self-serving, mundane, godless thought and activities, not considering Him or His Order, then His love for them is such that He will NOT make someone come under what they spent that entire incarnation fighting and rebelling against---that would make Him a tyrant, and to live under that Order for ETERNITY would be SLAVERY. And so, He gives them EXACTLY what they fought so long and hard to have: life without Him or His Order. We can love someone only by seeking and hoping for their greatest possible good, which I have explained as eternity in Christ, teaching His ways/truth/Order. If we present that to them, and they reject it, then He has given us the example of what we are to do: we reject them, and do not set our own self-righteous sense of love and compassion on a throne higher than His, because we do not have that Authority. The wicked one is a great and powerful preacher of tolerance, but it something he does NOT practice when it comes to the Truth of Christ. We are to tolerate the sinner, but not the sin. It is not a sin to be gay, or an addict, or a thief---provided we do not practice (to continue in the action(s) of sin. His people hear His voice, and when they sin, which happens less and less as we heed His calling, and the repent of it, and ask for forgiveness...They DO NOT continue in that activity with a clear conscience and a proud and lofty attitude of self-righteousness and pride, THAT is of the wicked one. You can not be proud of standing against what He has declared Good, and yet feel you are justified.
