My tip for all: Want to pass on an experience I had with Camping - TopicsExpress

My tip for all: Want to pass on an experience I had with Camping World in Katy, TX, yesterday when I went to place an order for the Shasta remake - the trailer costs $14,999 with all the things you see in the video (blue-tooth, stereo in and out, stainless refrigerator, interior and exterior lighting, cable ready, canopy, etc). Well, when he brought me the itemized invoice it came to over $20,000. He was going to charge me $2800 for what he called forced options which were all the options I mentioned above. He said that Shasta required me to pay for these items even though they are mentioned in the video as standard. I vehemently opposed his non-existent explanation and that it made no sense that they would charge me extra for something that is standard. He came down to $18,000 which includes $2,000 to get it to Katy plus tax, title and license. I signed the paper work and left him a deposit, but when I got home I called Mount Pleasant RV and spoke with one of the saleman. They are only 10 miles from the Shasta plant. I told him what Camping World tried to do and he was appalled. He said there is no such thing as a forced option fee and was going to report it to Shasta. I ended up buying two campers from him and a friend from Houston is also buying one, so we will share the $2200 delivery fee. I literally hate dealing with dishonest people. So, buyer beware - just sayin!
