My utmost respect goes to his mother for making this video!!!! Sgt. Smith was my favorite NCO and my mentor in the Marines, one of the few that stuck his neck out for me and gave me hope in some of my darkest days. He believed in me and in doing so made me believe in me and for that I will always be grateful because I didnt give up and I never stopped fighting!!! I remember him telling me after my brothers died that, its ok to not be ok, but dont drop your pack you gotta keep trudging because your not done yet then we would go to the smoke pit and shoot to shit until duty called..... I am so sorry this happened and my heart goes out to him and the family, friends, and Marines that were left behind..... Semper Fi Smitty may your soul go and be at ease and may your mothers struggles to cope be washed over with comfort and if nothing else guide others to an awareness of their fellow Marines, Soldiers, brothers, sisters, fathers, daughters, and spouses....... because PTSD and SUICIDE is REAL so please watch for the SIGNS and reach out to someone who may be in need
