My very best wishes to all here who are celebrating the beginning of Hanukkah this evening. The story of the Festival of Lights is one of hope which many bereaved can also identify with--it was a miracle of faith that kept the flame alive, even with so little to go on. Each of us has more faith and hope than we think, and even at our darkest times we just need to find a way to tap into that hope, and allow it to light each of our lives. Those we love will continue to burn so brightly winthin us that they have the power to illuminate the rest of our journey here, no matter how dark the stretch of road. May the peace and joy of the Holiday, and that of the souls, find each of you, and keep the fire of hope alive in your heart.
