"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning - TopicsExpress

"My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up." Psalm 5:3 poses, to me at least, a relevant two-fold question....When does the Lord hear my voice and When do I seek the Lord? It is well documented by family and friends that I was never a morning person. Like so many evangelical/fundamental Christians I convinced myself that any time spent with the Lord is sufficient. That ALL changed for me September 12, 2011. My Lord began convicting me of many, many sins in my life. Some public and some private. Repenting of when I sought the Lord has revealed a person, the Lord Jesus, and a love that I was missing by doing things my way. Psalm 63:1 states, "O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; "How close to God can we be; how thirsty are we really; how greatly do we long (desire) Him?? When we offer to Him only our convenient time? I want the Lord to hear my voice early and often. What about you?
