NAGALAND PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHDAY 5 PREVIEWS By NPL Pundits Dimapur, DDSC Stadium Dynamic FC vs FC Naga Tornadoes Kick-off: 10 am Barak FC vs Zonipang SA Kick-off: 12 noon United Redskins FC vs Dimapur United FC Kick-off: 2 pm Kohima, IG Stadium Veda FC vs Kohima Komets Kick-off: 2 pm Mokokchung, Imkongmeren Sports Complex Sangpang FC vs Doyang FC Kick-off: 9 am Dynamic FC hosts FC Naga Tornadoes in the first match in Dimapur on Wednesday. DFC probably had the toughest opening fixtures having already played against Barak FC, Kohima Komets and Dimapur United FC. They will go all out on home turf in search for their first victory of the season against FC Naga Tornadoes. FCNT are currently 4th on the table with 6 points with a match in hand. Another victory will keep them within touching distance of the teams ahead. Barak FC has played four games this season with two wins and two defeats. They will look to address this inconsistency when they take on a spirited Zonipang SA on Wednesday. They still remain one of the title contenders and will look to put in a string of consistent displays to stay in the hunt for a second title. Zonipang SA look a much improved side from last season and they already have two victories from four outings. The Mokokchung outfit will look to upset the defending champions in a tough away game at Dimapur. United Redskins take on Dimapur United in the last match in Dimapur. URFC has won one and suffered two defeats with a game in hand. The debutants has the ability to spring a surprise and they will be quietly confident when they take on a strong Dimapur United side. DUFC are currently placed third on the table with two wins and a draw. They will go all out to get maximum points and seize advantage of any slip up by the two teams above them who are playing against each other in Kohima. Kohima will witness a cracking game this Wednesday as new comers and current league leaders Veda FC take on their nearest rivals and fan favorites Kohima Komets. They are the only two teams who still hold a 100% win record. Veda FC are in imperious form winning all four matches so far conceding only once and have scored nine goals. Kohima Komets, who have played a game less, are in impressive form too winning all the three matches with three clean sheets. The stage is all set for an explosive match between two quality sides looking to assert dominance. Sangpang FC are currently 7th on the table with 3 points from three games. They will look for an improvement when they take on Doyang FC in Mokokchung. SFC will be buoyed by the strong home crowd support and will look to make the advantage count as they set out for a positive result and give the fans something to cheer for. Doyang FC still remain pointless after four games into the season. A tricky away fixture awaits them on Wednesday and they will need to be at their best as they look for their first points of the season.
