NAME: Soldier David Motari (YES, OLD STORY, DOESNT MATTER) WHERE: Iraq CRIME: Soldier Throws Puppy Off a Cliff. Motari later wrote in his Bebo that he would of normally shot and killed the puppy, but he was trying to be creative. In early March 2008,the media was in an uproar because a Youtube video was posted that involved a US Marine throwing a puppy off a cliff while in Iraq. The video shows a marine holding a puppy. The other marines make comments such as “how cute” and “oh, so cute, little puppy.” Then the Marine holding the puppy (later recognized as Lance Corporal David Motari) leans back and throws the puppy off of a cliff. As the puppy is being hurled, it starts whimpering and yelping. Then another marine says in a sarcastic tone “oh that’s mean, that’s just mean Motari”. Questions were later asked involving the legibility of the video. In mid June 2008, CNN reported that Lance Corporal David Motari and Sgt. Crismarvin Banez Encarnacion, who videotaped the event, were discharged from the military. Motari later wrote in his Bebo that he would of normally shot and killed the puppy, but he was trying to be creative.
