NAME: Tommy Martin WHERE: Weakley County, TN. CRIME: 8 month old Great Dane mix Boomer, while on his owners property, was shot and killed by neighbor Tommy Martin 9/24/14 JUSTICE FOR BOOMER https://facebook/pages/Justice-for-Boomer-Killed-on-My-Property-by-Neighbor/591734157604671 TAKEN FROM JUSTICE FOR BOOMER PAGE: Boomer was shot and killed the morning of 9/24/14 by a neighbor, Tommy Martin. Boomer was on his owners own property, in the driveway, at the time of the shooting. This incident and past incidents against the dogs at this residence took place in rural, Weakley County, Tn. The alleged offender was NOT arrested, but will be summoned to appear in Court, reportedly. There are other dogs at risk because this person lives next door to them. We would like to know why the alleged offender was NOT arrested? Tommy Martin has reportedly shot at the neighbors dogs in the past, and almost shot a person standing nearby, according to the property owner. One of the dogs was wounded by gunshot in the stomach, and somehow lived. A different neighbor stated her dog shot and killed due to a gunshot in the stomach on 9/21/14, only three days before Boomer was shot and killed. That neighbors property also borders the shooters property. This is NOT acceptable. Boomer was shot in the stomach on his own property, and suffered before dying. A gunshot to the stomach is a very painful way to die, reportedly. The Court date is pending, and should be known by next Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014. Updates will be posted as they become known. We are many, and together with unified voices...we are seeking justice. The killer of Boomer is scheduled to appear before the Judge in the General Sessions Court on October 22, 2014. A peaceful demonstration is scheduled outside the courthouse at 7:30 am at the main entrance: 116 West Main Street. Dresden, TN, 38225. Phone: (731)364-3455. At 8:30 am, we will plan to be seated inside the courtroom for the proceedings. The session is open to the public. Your attendance is requested. Visibility with demonstrations is important to animal cases in particular, and they are good opportunities to increase public awareness that animal cruelty is against the law. Thank you for your ongoing support.
