NATIONAL CONFERENCE. Im a christian but what the hell does Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) think they are doing? Firstly, it was the accusation that the word christian or christian related words were not mentioned in the constitution thereby tagging the constitution as Islamic. Are u kidding me? A constitution that was designed after the american format is islamic? If it makes provision for Sharia court, how has that affected Nigeria or do we now want to have Ecclesiastical courts? Secondly, CAN is now protesting that the leadership of committees are mostly muslims. Can you imagine a National Conference that should dialogue over the way forward for our nation has become a seat of controversies? Why didnt CAN speak up when it was revealed that there were more christians than muslims as delegates at the conference. CAN & its Islamic counterparts should stop these petty religious fights & face more pressing National issues. We ve almost reached half of the 3mths alloted for the conference & our N12million is going.
