NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK - ROBOTICS CHAMPIONS: Over 500 competitors from all over Queensland competed in the Robocup Junior Queensland Open Championships, with BBC claiming victory to remain the top Robotics School in Queensland. The competition was fierce and the innovation of students outstanding. Open Robotic Soccer - First Place (Team Pi) Congratulations to Andrew Su, Brian Chen, Robert Kopel. Lightweight Soccer - First Place (Alpha Omega) Congratulations to Alistair English and Gert Olivier. Lightweight Soccer - Second Place (TMY Robotics) Congratulations to Thomas Hulbert, Max Schulze and James Yelland. Gen2 Soccer - First Place unconfirmed (Alpha Omega) Congratulations to Alistair English and Gert Olivier. Open Rescue - Second Place (AG) Congratulations to Griffith Campbell. Open Rescue - Third Place (R&S Ninjas) Congratulations to Rafay Yousuf and Shanker Dorairajan. Primary Rescue - Third Place (Apple Duck Squad) Congratulations to Ethan Lo and Lachlan Ellis. Primary Rescue - Fourth Place (BBCSES) Congratulations to Sam Alner and Sebastian Pacaud. The success of all BBC teams is directly attributed to the dedication of the trainers and the persistence of the boys. Special congratulations to Andrew Su, Brian Chen, Robert Kopel who have been crowned State Champions in the top division. It should be noted that Team Pi also won the recent Spaghetti Bridge Competition for the third year running. BBC are now gearing up for the National Robocup Championships to be held at the University of Queensland over the September holidays.
