NATS (North Atlantic Track System) is a flexible route system - TopicsExpress

NATS (North Atlantic Track System) is a flexible route system between North America and Europe. The actual tracks are adjusted daily to maximize tailwinds eastbound and minimize headwinds westbound. The first time I flew on the NATS back in the early 80s wasnt overly busy. My last experience a few years ago was very different. A lot more airplanes and we had to be quick on the HF radios to get our position reports in. The North Atlantic is a beautiful place, especially with a full moon.
