NB StJacques has been using Horizons for their youngest kids, and while they have learned, the program has caused a lot of stress and has not been enjoyable for anyone. I also had to rearrange much of the math to make the program less confusing to work one type of problem at a time. The spiraling with the math caused numerous issues, and we will be going to a mastery based program. The LA program was just as confusing. I am hoping for some help from anyone who can give pros and cons of math with Rod & Staff vs LifePac, both mastery based programs. And I am also deciding between the Language Arts program with My Fathers World vs LifePac vs Christian Light Education, if anyone can give insight with those. We will be ordering for second grade. Last, LifePac vs CLE kindergarten. I have done months of review on curriculum to figure out which courses are mastery based and meet the issues my kids have had, so I am hoping to have answers restricted to the ones I am asking about, please.
