NBC Universal removed their re-print of the Troubleshooter Joe - TopicsExpress

NBC Universal removed their re-print of the Troubleshooter Joe Pagonakis WEWS article that contained numerous misprints resulting in exposing NBC Universal to potential legal action, for defaming my film Poison in the Grapes by stating that the film made assertions about the current clean-up status of the dump when the film does not make those statements. NBC Universal complying with my legal request, via their press team, also indicated potential liability on the part of WEWS NewsChannel 5 - Cleveland/Akron/Canton for numerous incidents of libel and slander. That is the difference between NBC News (National) and WEWS (local). National news is required to have at least some modicum of journalistic integrity. Small to medium sized local news outlets, or the type of people who go for the bronze when competing, really have no reason to have any integrity whatsoever. Dont worry, Ill be serving Scribbs Media, WEWS parent company, with legal notices when I get around to it. This is not to be construed as legal advise, but a very simple thing that you can do to cover your ass is notification. Once you have notified someone of defamation, and the possibility of potential litigation, and they have not responded to your requests for removal you can take your case to into the courts. Basically, before you can sue someone you have to give them a chance to rectify the situation. If you dont notify people of their liabilities and your intentions you have shown that you have not attempted to resolve the matter in an amicable manner. Once an organization disregards a legal request they have shown that they may potentially acting maliciously with the intent to cause damages. Next I have some funny plans for members of Akron City Counsel. Stay tuned.
