NC - An 8-year-old Pomeranian is making an amazing recovery after police say she was thrown against a wall and through a mirror. Little Sugarfoot was taken to Peanuts Place rescue group Wednesday night for immediate care. She was in the fetal position. She was on her back. She couldnt move any of her extremities, said Peanuts Place founder Colleen Sowers. Sugarfoot is a survivor. The little pooch was handed over to Peanuts Place rescue group by Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Control after being taken from her owners. Police say the pooch was thrown by her owner, 36-year-old William Alexander, who was arrested and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty. He was also charged with assault with a deadly weapon; police say he threatened a woman with a knife after abusing the dog.
