The training will focus on real case studies from our experience at NCSE, and give a chance for you and me and your fellow participants to discuss how to respond to such attacks. Most importantly, well talk about how to build a network of local citizens who share your concerns. When a parent calls NCSE wondering why her child was sent home with a creationist pamphlet, or a teacher needs to respond to pressure from parents or administrators to drop lessons on climate change, or state legislators threaten to write science denial into state laws, NCSE relies on local voices and local experience to fight back. This is a chance to learn how to help your local teachers and students, strengthen science education in your community, and build a political movement for great science education.
