NEARING THE END Asheville The final day. Waynesville or downtown Asheville? I love Waynesville but have been there many times. I decided to take us to the city. We took the road that runs next to the river. It was a lovely drive. I have a room at home that needs decorating. It has been painted and new carpet installed since I have been on this trip. I picked out the samples but have yet to see it put together. The last person I said goodbye to was the painter. The room was being primed. Today we ventured into Ashevilles decorating offerings. Rug and Home shop. Habitat for Humanitys Restore. I bought a sweet little accent lamp that was on sale. And we had lunch at McDonalds. Not any McDonalds. We ate at the one in Biltmore Village. It has a grand piano. Yes. You heard me. And a fireplace. Biltmore is decorated for Christmas but I chose not to go. Husband wants to see. He has never been. So I will wait. I will come back in two weeks with him. Dave took us to dinner in historic Hazelwood. It was fabulous. I had blackened shrimp over fried green tomatoes. It was decadent. It is time to pack now. And gather my belongings together. It is time to go home. Tomorrow we go home.
