The seat of CatholicBishop of Ahiara diocese in Mbaise of Imo State has been declared vaccant by pope Francis as a result of the action of mbaise priests and lay faithful rejecting bishop peter okpaleke from awka diocese posted to them. The pope went further to appoint Cardinal john onaiykan of Abuja diocese to serve as the Apostolic Administrator of the troubled Ahiara diocese pendinding when a bishop will be assigned to them. Bishop okpaleke pls ndi Mbaise did not hate u as a person but the tribe u came from. Awka has five bishops, mbaise has none. Now my question to ndi mbaise is: if the pope appoint another bishop from kaduna or any other tribe apart from mbaise, will u accept the bishop?
