According to the Liberia News Agency, Korkoyah made the appeal at the NEC headquarters over the weekend during an emergency meeting with political parties and independent candidates to inform them of the Supreme Court’s stay order on campaign activities due to a petition for an injunction filed against the December 16, 2014 election by certain groups. The stay order was issued by the Justice in Chamber of the Supreme Court, Justice Philip A.Z.
