Germans are pumping more climate-killing CO2 into the air than they have in years. .... Germanys efforts to promote green energy are colliding with the European emissions trading system. Every kilowatt hour of renewable energy frees up emissions allowances. Germany is taking the neoliberal approach to green energy -- subsidies and emissions trading. The invisible hand of the free market is supposed to do the the rest. Well surprise surprise, its not working !
